I know you can’t believe
I
want the part of you that you refuse to See
Of the things unknown
But longed for still,
The caged bird sings
With fearful trill,
Love is just a word
And his tune is heard
The world’s a stage
Won’t you come out to play?

Hey. I thought "Inevitable Relapse" was your found poem. Maybe this is your choice poem? Anyhow, I'm sorry I didn't get the message to you more clearly. Both poems are good, insofar as it's possible to demonstrate your skill as a meter measurer and word smith by using lines that have already been polished by another artist. It strikes me a little like going treasure hunting in the middle of Tiffany's. The challenge of found poetry is to look where poetry is least expected--manufacturers' warranties and STD PSA's... I'm sorry I didn't make that clearer before. I think I was reluctant to devalue your effort--now I just want to teach you as much as I can before you go and graduate on me.
